Washington Post Calls for Earmark Ban

The Washington Post editorial page wrote an opinion on ending the earmark process because lobbyist money is too heavily influencing legislative decisions.

I just hope they ban ALL earmarks, not just earmarks to corporations… nonprofit earmarks are a problem too. I agree that it’s just like an addiction, and it’s got to stop.

after we get rid of earmarks, we’ve got to reign in the federal bureaucracy… and I have no idea how we’ll tackle that monster
